4 Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Spa Day

Do you deserve some much-needed time off? We think so too. Why not treat yourself to an at-home spa day?

You don’t need to make an appointment to get some serious pampering. Instead, let’s talk about making your own spa and getting the most out of the experience. Everyone needs some rest and relaxation now and again.

Keep reading to learn all about getting the most out of your at-home spa experience.

1. Consider Investing in Spa Equipment

If you plan on having more at-home spa days in the future, it might be a good idea to invest in a few things that can make that experience seem more professional. They’re big expenses, but they’re worth it if you have the room and the expendable money.

We love hot tubs for a perfect spa day. You can use them any season of the year (a toasty hot tub on a cold winter day? The contrast is wonderful) and they won’t just be for when you’re taking a day off.

You can also invest in a sauna so you can sweat it out in style. Check out the difference between an infrared vs traditional sauna so you can choose the right one for you.

2. Set the Right Mood

A good spa day is nothing without a relaxing mood. Otherwise, it’s just a bath.

Make yourself some soothing herbal tea while you’re preparing everything else. Light your favorite incense or a scented candle. We suggest using a calming scent like lavender or warm vanilla.

Play some of your favorite relaxing sounds, like instrumental music or the sound of the ocean crashing on the beach. Set yourself up for a perfect day!

3. Don’t Settle for a Boring Bath

Once you’ve run your bath, it’s time to make it more spa-worthy. This is the time to bust out all of the fancy bath “extras” that you’ve been hoarding.

We love bath bombs for a perfect bath experience. They smell nice, they make your skin feel silky soft, some of them include little trinkets inside, and they’re so much fun to watch. Who doesn’t love sitting in a bath full of fun-colored water?

If those aren’t for you, adding Epsom salts to the bath can relieve tired muscles. Bubbles make for a luxurious bath experience and a bit of fun. You can also use bath oils or a few drops of essential oil to make the experience feel more like a spa.

4. Make a Soothing and Restorative Face Mask

What’s a spa day without a face mask?

While you can buy face masks at any beauty store, consider making one. It can be part of your spa day, and you get to decide what’s going into your mask.

Not all ingredients are safe for every skin type, so do some research beforehand and take some inspiration from the web.

It’s Time For Your Perfect Spa Day

Sit back and relax. Let the worries and troubles of your busy week melt away when you take some time for yourself. Treat yourself to a DIY spa day and you’ll feel refreshed and ready to take on the world.
