Modern workspaces deal with a mix of digital and paper documents. Digitization is key to ensuring the accessibility, security, and accuracy of your data. The Ricoh ScanSnap iX1600 offers all these benefits yet takes up less desk real estate than a sheet of letter paper. Remote workers, small businesses, and home offices can all benefit from its speed, flexibility, and ease of use.
Touch-Screen Scanning
Both Fujitsu and Ricoh innovate to make document imaging faster, easier, and more efficient. The ScanSnap iX1600 is no exception. Right on its front panel is a convenient touchscreen with easy-to-read buttons. From this touchscreen, you can scan and route documents to any destination: folders, email, printers, or the cloud.
Several technologies make such convenience possible. Like other machines in the series, the iX1600 runs on ScanSnap software. Key features include Optical Character Recognition, document categorization, and image correction. The iX1600 also supports up to 30 scanning profiles and personalized icons for up to four users. With this level of customization, you save time and effort. Select the profile you need, scan your document, and you’re done.
Save To The Network Directly
The iX1600 offers both USB and WiFi connectivity. This enables you to use it as a dedicated scanner for one user or support a small office of several users. Supported USB protocols include USB 3.2 Gen1x1, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1. As for Wi-Fi, the iX1600 is compatible with all major 802.11 protocols as well as 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands.
These connectivity options provide you with plenty of flexibility. You can scan and save documents on your local network or to the cloud. ScanSnap Cloud enables you to scan documents right to your preferred cloud storage so you can access them from any device.
Flexibility and Scalability
Although the Ricoh iX1600 is a small machine, its functionality is anything but small. It boasts a front-load 50-page automatic document feeder and scans up to 40 pages per minute — 33% faster than its predecessor, the iX1500. The iX1600 works well alone or in a network, capable of scanning documents between 2 x 2 inches and 11 x 17 inches. It even supports long page scans up to 3,000 millimeters long (118 inches). With its range of capabilities, it can easily supplement a high-speed production scanner in your network.
If you have a large office, you can incorporate multiple Ricoh scanners into your network. Other WiFi scanner options in the ScanSnap series include the iX1300, which comes with one-button scanning and scans up to 30 pages a minute. Production scanners include the fi-7900, a robust machine with a 500-sheet ADF and speeds up to 140 ppm. Its Expected Daily Volume is 120,000 sheets, more than enough to support a busy office.
A Wide Range of Imaging Solutions
From portable WiFi scanners to high-capacity machines, Ricoh offers many document imaging solutions for modern offices. The key is selecting scanners that best match your needs. High-speed production scanners like the fi-7900 are ideal for large-volume environments. Meanwhile, the iX1600 is perfect for smaller user groups.
